Dove Chocolate Discoveries with Sandra

I recently had the opportunity to review Dove Chocolate Discoveries Mousse Mix from Sandra Foy, an Independent Dove Chocolatier. Almost everything I needed to make the mousse was provided in one packet, which is a HUGE time saver compared to the way I was taught in Culinary school to make mousse. The only item I purchased to make the mousse was the heavy whipping cream (3/4 cup to make one pouch). The instructions for making the mousse are printed on the mix packet and are easy to follow. I had no difficulty, nor do I think someone with little kitchen skill would have following their instructions and I had my mousse made in less than 15 minutes. Once my mousse was complete, I set it in the fridge to set for almost 2 hours, packet says one but I believe 2 is better since thats what I did in school. When the mousse was fully chilled, it was tasting time!  The mousse has a very rich chocolate flavor yet it was light and airy and just melted in my mouth. Each packet makes four servings, which is great because you can make two different mousses and do a pretty presentation for when you have a dinner party.

Whipping my cream, oh how I love my 21st Birthday gift! This mixer is the best!!

I used the microwave because I do not have the proper bowl to do a double broiler, but I would do a double broiler or be VERY careful not to scorch or burn the chocolate in the microwave.

I had to get this picture from Sandra's website because I accidentally ate the mousse before I took a picture. Im sorry, it was just one of those days that I saw chocolate and opps..before I knew it, it was gone. But I can assure you, my mousse did look like this, minus the mint, I had strawberries instead!

Do you want to try this product for yourself? Are you thinking great date night ahead? How about for my male readers? Simple easy CHOCOLATE dessert she will love? Well, the product number is 3200D and the cost for 2 packets and the chocolate is $18! Not to bad for a super quick and easy dessert where you only have to buy cream which is about $2. This mousse mix has also been declared kosher by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, so its pretty much a go for anyone!

Tupperware with Sandra Foy

Okay, so unlike the rest of America, I some how have never used Tupperware all 22 years of my life. I am not sure how it happened, but let me just say, THANK YOU to Sandra! She is an AMAZING sponsor of ours and has sent me an amazing product to try. I used the product this past week in my prep for Thanksgiving, so now on with the review!

For this review Sandra sent me the Tupperware Quick Chef Food Chopper and Processor. Let me just say that this is a pretty neat little item and I love it! I will say that I did learn a few lessons after starting to use it that made it even easier and better. The Quick Chef makes chopping easy, while saving money and providing a quick upper body work out! With just a few quick turns vegetables are chopped and mixes of almost any kind are mixed! A single turn of the handle rotates blade or paddle whisk four times, saving time and effort. The staggered 3 stainless steel blades effortlessly chop fruits and vegetables and even nuts. The paddle whisk quickly whipped up my eggs for morning breakfast. The top I will say could be better, The handle is not attached, which is great for storage, but it comes off it you have a bit to much in the chopper, something I learned! The non-skid base was genius, it prevents sliding, which comes in handy when you are chopping away!

My Quick Chef came with the 3 staggered stainless steal blades, the whipping attachment, a funnel, with measurements, for easy adding of liquids and a top so that you can store directly in the bowl once you are done mixing! Let me say after washing those blades, WATCH OUT, man our they sharp, I think they are shopper then the ones on my electric one that I just bought! Most of the items fit inside the bowl for storage, making it easier to store and harder to loose parts.

I chose to make my cranberry orange relish in my Quick Chef this year. I should have known that just like my blender, I needed to do this in batches. But I didnt do that, so I learned the hard way, got an AMAZING work out till i realized that I needed to break it in to batches. Once I broke them in to batches, it was so EASY! The blades turned with ease, the funnel was great to add the wine in with out a mess. I LOVE THIS CHOPPER!

Here is my relish half way though the process! And now, here it is Finished!
Now here's my recipe in case one of you would like to try it!
12oz FRESH Cranberries
1 Medium orange with the peel on and cut in to chuncks
Pecans or Walnuts to taste, a few handfuls is what I do
2-3oz dry white wine
Cinnamon to taste
Sugar to taste

Chop till all small and chunky, chill for about 8 hours then eat! Great with turkey, by its self or on cream cheese and crackers!

Okay, now who wants to win some Tupperware?
