A fall tradition....The Pumpkin Patch

Hi everyone! It's Ashley here. Well, if you haven't already noticed. It's fall and fall is my absolute favorite time of year! I'm not sure if it's the cooler temps, the pumpkins, the delicious (and fattening) comfort food, football season, fairs and festivals, the changing of leaves, the smell of cinnamon, or just knowing that the holidays are fastly approaching, but I LOVE FALL! So, to celebrate, my husband and I took our two children to Mitchell Farm in Collins, MS (http://mitchellfarms-ms.com/) a few weeks ago. The day was Saturday, October1. That day was their 1st Annual Peanut Festival and the opening of their pumpkin patch. It was Christian's 3rd time to go to Mitchell Farms and Presley's 1st time. You would think that boocoodles of pictures were taken of my two but they weren't. Why? Because my hubby forgot his camera. So, out popped the trusty Samsung Galaxy to the rescue. I think I managed to take just 4 pictures. I wasn't too upset because I knew we would be returning the following week for a birthday party. And boy, did we take pictures on October 8-too many pictures.

Christian's fave part was the huge sandpile and all the dump trucks he got to play with. Yes, I have a country boy at heart. Presley loved that she was able to strut her stuff. You would've thought that she was the model of Mitchell Farms. I enjoyed riding the trailor ride and learning that pumpkin seeds have to be watered as soon as they're planted. I didn't know that sunflowers require water as soon as they're picked. Did you? I posted a few pics for you to see. I would love to hear about how you're celebrating fall with your families.

P.S. If you love photo contests like I do, I encourage you to submit your children's fall photos to Whimsy Wildflower. You can visit her blog at http://whimsywildflower.blogspot.com/. Her fb page is  https://www.facebook.com/WhimsyWildflowers
Just email her up to 5 pictures and 6 winners will be chosen to receive custom pieces from her collection. Be sure to check her out and tell her that her friend, Ashley, sent you. Her email is whimsywildflower@yahoo.com

One more fun fall giveaway is from Thymes. I love Thymes products! If you haven't tried them, you definitely should. Right now on their site http://www.thymes.com/Autumn/, you can share your favorite fall memory. Three lucky submissions will receive a complete set of their Wildwood Collection (valued at $171.00). You better hurry. Both contests end on October 31! Good Luck!

Crazy Weekend..

Okay, I know Peaches and I promised the post yesterday, but we had a bad weekend. It was one thing after another this weekend. Cole and our friend Keith put new rotors and pads on my car, problem was my bolts were so rusted they could not get them out. $40 later and 2 chewed up bolts, we got them out, then it was just putting them back on. We also Plasti Dipped my rims, a neat process where you spray rubber on anything, if you dont like it, it just peels right off and looks like it was never there! I love the results.. here is the before
and here is the after! Nice amazing rubber flat black rims!
I love the look! What do you think?
Next in the crazy..well we go to dinner with Cole's grandma, love going with her, she is a hoot! One heck of a lady who will make sure you get everything you can. Shortly after dinner, Cole and our friend started feeling sick, Cole got very pale and ending up loosing dinner. I made him stay home because I did not see him playing soccer as smart, so I tucked him in and went to my midnight game. After the game Keith, our friend, was pale as could be, he was racked twice during the game, on top of feeling like poo from dinner. Went home after the game and crashed! Woke up and went to Cole's Sunday, he was hungry so we went out with our friend Tab's for her birthday to Cafe Nova (LOVE the $15 ALL YOU CAN DRINK mimosas and brunch item). After that we went back to Cole's to finish my car..thats when I lost my world. I had my cell phone in my back pocket and it fell in the toilet! To put the cherry on top, it has all of my DR appts, which I know I have at least one this week and all my contacts for school, work and the blog! I was so scared! Come to find out, thanks to our insurance on our plan I only had to pay $130 to get a brand new phone! Bad thing is I have to wait till it comes in tomorrow. Then I have to try get the wet phone to turn on so I can get all the numbers and events.

I sure hope this all works out, or I will be super sad. I have lost so much..but Cole was great and took me twice to go try and find a new phone yesterday. I love him!

That is all, back to my homework..hope everyone has a great day I will do the giveaway ASAP

Rough Weekend

Well this weekend has been one of the worst! I dropped my phone in the toilet..then the sink..and now I cant fully use my back up phone since my current one is a droid. So now I wait till my new phone comes in on Tuesday. I lost the cute photos peaches took, so I will post photos later, but put up our review and our giveaway!

Who is ready for a break from the bad world? ME ME ME! I hate that I cant even find anything on my phone.

Well, now it is time to go to class. Hope every one have a great day and I hope that I can not break or loose anything today.

The Fur Has It..

Well, you all met Kitty, the loveable pitbull in my life. Now it is time to meet Peaches, the hairest one in my family, there for she does wear hairbows, like me and gets dressed up!

She is so very excited to do pictures Sunday for her review. So sorry we are running behind, but it has been crazy here in my house. I have to put new breaks on my car, I have a birthday party / lock in tonight and then 2 soccer games tomorrow, so I havnt had a seccond to sit down and get the pictures. But I do have a picture of Trouble, the cat wearing a Bow Bows 2 Go Go Fur Baby line bow!

So it might not be the best picture and he might look slightly upset here, but he was fine. He shook it off in 2 seconds and was fine. No cats or pups were harmed in the making of these pictures!

We also wanted to remind everyone why we are doing pet month! October is Animal Cancer Awareness month, now here at our house when I was younger, we did have a cat with cancer. It was a very sad time to have to put him down, but it was what was best. People dont think to try and find a cure for our pets, I understand human health is important and yes I support those cancers too, but this one goes to my heart! I never want to loose another cat or ever a pup to cancer! Make sure you donate to save the wags! They need a cure too!

Meet Ashley

So the blog has become so large with giveaways and I feel it would be better if we had someone from the post college side. Some one who is married, has kids and has a completely different look on life then me. So now, we have Ashley, she is amazing! Here is a little about her, she will be blogging as well as helping do reviews, which will allow for kids item reviews!

I'm a 30 year old, married mother of 2 from the south. I taught elementary school but came home last year to be with my 2 young children. I am a Willow House consultant and love doing it!
I'm a glass half full kind of gal. I long for world peace and wish that we all could get along. I believe there are 2 kinds of people in the world-givers and takers. I'm a giver. I LOVE to help others and I LOVE to network!

If you have any items you want Ashley to review, please let us know! I want to get her started ASAP on it!

Thanks again to Ashley for joining the team!
