So this past week I have been thinking about going into a dual degree program. This would mean, 3 semesters over seas. I have finally decided this is what I want. Not only will it get me better interviews, but I could go and work overseas more easily. This also gives me a chance to work in a military resort in Germany that is one of the whole reason I got in to hospitality. Making someone's possible last vacation the best it could ever be with no worries about anything. But down side is, it will add one semester, but I could get an extra 3000 a semester in scholarships I couldn't normally get. Plus I get a stipend from the program to cover airfare and housing and some of my food.
Other downside, I will be gone for a long time with out cole, I don't know how I feel about that. Going months at a time with out seeing him or any family except for on Skype. But then I think of what all I could gain, so I think I have fully chosen going abroad! But do not worry, I don't leave for a yearish and we will have guest bloggers while I am gone, as well as my blogging from across the pond!
Have any of you done a very long abroad program? Do you have any tips? I am looking at Scotland and Finland for my programs. Time for class!
Smile!

Fun times..
So this weekend Cole, my sister, Mr. Alaska (sister's man friend) and Clarke (Coles best friend) all went bowling and to dinner, minus Clarke he couldnt make dinner. Oh what a great night! So much fun, even tho Clarke is weird and likes ou, we still had fun! So where to start, well let's start with dinner!
So we went to an amazing hole in the wall place that you wouldnt know about unless someone had taken you. If you live in the OKC metro I highly reccomend you get down to Bandaleros VIP grill, its on shields between 44th and 59th St. We had a groupon, LOVE groupon, I love it even more when it is to one of my favorite places! So for us to eat, it wasnt bad at all, all 4 of us ate for $20 plus tip and our meals were huge! Cole had a bistec steak and it was big and smelled sooo yummy, but it was way to spicy for me to try, my sister and I both got quesadillas, my steak was so juicy and flavorful and Dani had cheese, that wasnt overly greasy and Mr. Alaska had chimichangas, they were HUGE!!! He said they were some of the best hes ever had. Not to mention that we got FREE salsa, 2 kinds, queso, chips, tortillas and sopaillas! I will say, that is one thing I miss when I am not in OKC, you don't get half the free stuff! I am a big fan of FREE! So thats my rant on best Mexican food in OKC now on with the night!
After we went to dinner, we went cosmic bowling, where Clarke met us. We love to go bowling, we really love that cosmic bowling at heritage lanes is $15 a person all you can bowl! Their bar also has decent prices, so we got 2 giant beer keg things, plus jello shots. Let me tell you how great the bowling got after a few drinks were in us! We were having so much fun! Cole even got a ton of strike, Turkey and all! So proud of him, I wasnt bowling very well, the gutter was my friend and Clarkes. So when we got towards the end of our bowling, we realized we had a decent amount of beer left. At this point, I was so full from the beer I didnt want anymore, so the beer gnomes came out. Those sneeky little gnomes that fill up everyone's beer glass! They made the night so funny, everyone started watching their beer cup, taking it to the lane with them and all. the final gnomed person of the night was Clarke! It was great, those gnomes sure do know how to party!
End of the night, after all the crazyness and fun, we headed to Clarke's brand new house. This was when I realized we had all grown up and that we were adults. His house is amazing! He has leopard carpet in his bonus room, how can a house not be built with out, I will never know! Aside from that, the house was amazing, back yard was a nice size, not to big, not to small and his decor was very tasteful. We watched some movies in 3D on Clarkes new 3D tv, which is really awesome! I now want a 3D tv more then ever, the movies looked so different! After all this was said and done, it was time to go home. Time to go to sleep and think of how full I still was from the beer, which as I write this I am still full! I hate beer for a reason, and this is it. I feel perfectly fine except my tummy feels like I have been eating for months! Cole said he feels full too, so full, this is not a fun part of beer! Those gnomes made me full!
Well, with all this said, it is time for me to get back to the real world. I need to work more on my Holiday Gift Guide, so, if you want to join in let me know! I need to do all my homework, which is a ton! Get ready for the game, GO POKES! and take my car for an oil change, will all this said, I must now go do something else! Have a great weekend! Don't let the beer gnomes get you when you tailgate, but if they do remember you have to yell "I've been gnomed" or if you are the gnome "You've been gnomed" Let's go watch some football folks! GO POKES!

Bountiful Beer Bread Giveaway and Review
Oh my was I excited when I got in touch with Kim from Simply Tasteful! She said I could try their best seller, the Bountiful Beer Bread, I was so excited! I love beer bread, I have made it from scratch at both home and culinary school and it is one of my favorites! Kim sent me all the instructions PLUS an awesome tip card, so I decided to try my bread plain and made as french toast! So here is what I did:
I made my bread with the berry weiss (an amazing beer for not only drinking, or bread making but BEER FLOATS), it made the bread have a light berry taste which was delicious! All I needed to make the bread was 12oz beer, or any carbonated beverage, and a few tablespoons of melted butter. The bread was AMAZING right out of the oven, perfectly cooked, crunchy yet soft inside I LOVE this bread! With in 70 minutes, from start to finsh cook time I had my bread done! Here is a picture of my Loaf out of the oven! I had to wait 30 mins to eat it, I was sad, but anxious! So I waited..
As I waited I thought of what I was going to do with it! I decided to make french toast with a blackberry compote! It was amazing, the perfect combo! The bread held up great when I made it french toast, sorry I forgot to take a picture before I ate it, but the bread had a nice crust on it and the berries were perfect! With that said, here was my picture after I took it out of the pan and sliced a piece.
So YUMMY, the bread was perfect. Nice crust on top, soft inside and not to crusty on the bottom. The best thing about this was the ease of it! Just 12oz of beer and some butter and the mix and boom your making FRESH bread! For $5.49 plus shipping and tax you can have FRESH bread! They offer 7 different breads, some yummy looking drinks (I am thinking about buying some of those), mixes for dips, soups and desserts. Their prices are pretty reasonable for how much you get! I can not wait to order some products, they look so yummy, not to mention order more beer bread!
So reviews from the family.
Cole- Baby, why cant you make this more often it's amazing! I love it
Mom-The berry weiss made the bread light and fresh, perfect for summer. We should try it with pumpkin beer!
Dani-I love this! Good choice on beer, and you made it so fast! We should try some of the other breads.
So as you can see, this bread was a hit and we can not wait to try it with other beers! So now that you are hungry, do you want to win it? Well here's how to win it!

Now on to the normal talk!
The fair is in town! I LOVE the state fair, now I am saddened since I can not enjoy half the foods I did last year, but I will say I did gain 4 pounds today thanks to the few things I can eat! What is everyone's favorite part of the fair? Is it the rides? Car show? Disney on Ice? Food? All the new products? Or the FREE Samples? Mine is samples! I love trying out an item before I invest money and a whole meal around it, I found some GREAT mixes and soups that I will be getting, as well as a neat little hot cold pack that is powered by a coin. I am excited for those, so I can use them on the go when I am stuck at school all day!
Next best thing that happened this weekend? My car is officially fixed! Everything is done, she is 100% better, no more opps I forgot this, opps I messed up your window when I did the door and no more needing to pull my keys out to unlock my car! I have a nifty little button on the handle that lets me unlock the car as long as the keys are near the door! I love this feature, makes it easy for class, I dont have to pull out my keys when it is raining and drop the umbrella. YAY!
Lastly, if you live in the OKC metro, I have got to tell you my new breakfast place! Cattlemen's in the stockyards. Yes they have amazing steaks and my dad ate there for years when he was a bull rider and letter press operator, but I had never been for breakfast. We went this weekend and found out that they offer a $6 breakfast buffet, with eggs, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, 2 types of potatoes, bacon and both sausages! I mean really, $6, SCORE! This is awesome, I love it there not only for dinner now, but breakfast, I think everyone should go try them out!
Time to get back to homework and life! Hope everyone has a great week, I know I will. Also, don't forget to go check out Crock Pot Boys I am going to do one of their recipes this week for a meal on one of my all class days! Oh wait..did I mention that they are going to do a giveaway when they get 10000 fans! Go Check them out!

Bows Oh So Cute Review and Giveaway
Bows Oh So Cute sent me an adorable watermelon bow! I LOVE this bow, if I had a child this would be on them all spring and summer long! My bow came un-crushed and perfectly wrapped inside of the envelope. Like I said in previous reviews, I myself am 22, there for I put my bow to the test, I decided to treat it as a small child would treat their bow, that way you moms will know if it is going to hold up to that little tyke in your life! I tugged; I pulled and found this bow is suck together! The bottle cap is not going to budge. Bows Oh So Cute sends all of their alligator clips lined in a matching ribbon, they also all come with non slip tape, still not 100% sure why it is used, but I’m sure it is a fine child hair thing. The bow is a pinwheel stacked bow and is about 4-5”. The bow was made to match some of Gymboree’s line. This bow is only $8.50 before shipping and considering all of the ribbon and the bottle cap used, I think it’s a great deal!
Want to know the best thing about Bows Oh So Cute? All bottle cap bows are $8.50, even her custom one’s! Bows Oh So Cute, now not only sells bows, but they sell matching flip-flops and adorable boutique items. If you need to order some girly bows for that special girl in your life, Bows Oh So Cute is a great place to get them. The shipping is based on the order. They do combine shipping and do their best to get the best shipping price possible. Bows Oh So Cute also takes custom orders and tries their hardest to make sure that she can get the ribbon or center you want and just the way you want it! Bows Oh So Cute also do inspired bows, which have inspiration from Gymboree, Disney and sporting teams.
Just had to post one of her adorable flip-flop and bow sets! This set is only $20!
Make sure to head on over to her facebook page and her etsy store to see what you have a chance to win! Don’t forget to tell them Thanks! for the giveaway.

Annoyed
Boy oh boy am I annoyed with the shop who did my repairs on my car from the hail. They did not finish the job, nor will they call me back to tell me when I can. So I have gone back to the insurance company and I am letting them do it, because this is annoying! I want my car to work correctly and have all of the trim pieces back in place like they should be. I mean I gave them a clean car and they couldn't even wipe out all the crap that got in it while it was being fixed. Where is customer service these days. No referrals from me, I don't care who you think you are, I will get my stuff fixed and I will get it done correctly and quickly. I am done with poor customer service! You gave me a half done job! Greer
Okay, rant done! Today I will be posting the Bows Oh So Cute giveaway and review! Yay another free bow, who is excited! I know I am as well as her fans! I am also still looking for a new it works consultant since ours has decided to flake. I am sad about this, I really wanted to try a wrap before going to a wedding with the boyfriend in a few weeks.
So, I am in love with a new site, well two. Crock pot girls and crock pot boys! Love them, awesome tested in home crock pot recipes that are delish! I am wanting to try the French dips in the crock pot as well as the lava cake..mmmmmm mouth watering now as I type before class. They have every type of meal for a crock pot! Not to mention crock pot boys is doing a giveaway when they reach 10,000 fans. Go like them now!
Okay, off to lifespan class now, where I will be watching a birth..not to excited for this one. Although seeing all the early weeks is neat, but the end part not wanting to see..I have friends who I had kids and I've heard stories and I do not need pictures!
Have a great afternoon all! Oh yeah, Go Pokes!

School Life
Well school is getting crazy! I have so much homework I do not know what to do. Not to mention all of my normal life stuff to do. We have gotten our next review in and I will be working on the review this week and getting the giveaway up. Who is ready for a new bow? Bows Oh So Cute has given us a cute as can be watermelon bottle cap bow! So cute, can not wait to try it out!
So, living on my own completely. Last week I had Cole around to help me out with some around the apartment up keep. Let me tell you, coming home and him being here was amazing! Now that he is gone, it is a little sad, no surprise dinner's so I can focus on homework. Coming home to my bed being made since I was running late and didn't get a chance to make it, or just walking in and seeing him play his ps3. Just made the day better, now hes back home and starting work soon..its sad.
What is even worse is that my lovely phone has decided it does not want to work. It wont hold a charge and tonight is my night class! So I will walk half way across campus in the dark with no phone and no Cole. This is slightly scary, campus is big, and it will be dark.
Starting the crock pot meals this week. Found an amazing site called Crock Pot Girls, they have a ton of different recipes, from breakfast to desserts. I can not wait till I can eat a french dip again, that will be one of my first meals that I make once I can eat it, whenever that is.
So, now it is time to get ready for class, and make a shopping list for tomorrow after class that way I can have food for the week. Have a great day! Smile
