Working hard..

So today after I was done baby sitting, I started contacting consultants and companies about doing product reviews and giveaways. So far it seems that we may have about 5 people ready to go! Catch is we need more followers! So, now it is time to get the word out about the blog, if we can get 50 people by the end of July, we cant start our giveaways!

Well, cant look for people to much longer, have to get ready for my soccer game. These early one's really seem to put a kink in my day!

Gas Prices

So, I decided to let Cuppie drink all her gas before I filled her up, after all gas had dropped .30 in almost 2 weeks, so I figured it would be fine. I leave for dinner around 6:20ish, go to a soccer game, say good bye to some friends that are moving and then I get home around 10ish. gas went up .18 in 4 hours!!! I mean seriously, you are telling me you just released more gas, and that should help with prices, well why did it go up so much in one day! Thankfully, one station up the street had not changed yet, so still 3.21 and was still cheaper, well they were expensive earlier in the day, but cheeper after this happened!

So, now another lesson! Dont let your tank go empty! Geeze, this month was full of lessons!

Good side to this month, I had my birthday, I bought Cuppie and best of all I get to get my pikepass this week, since I got a new car, I had to peel my sticker off and couldnt re-use it..bummer!

So Cuppie's plans for this weekend? Well, she is going to stay home, we are either going to take Cole's 1970 Mustang out or our friends big body benz. Which is great for me, I dont have to spend gas money!!

Also, I am contacting companies of products I use to detail my car weekly to see if we can get some giveaways! Also remember ladies, we need some more followers!!

Cuppie vs. Hail

Well, 3 days after I bought Cuppie Oklahoma had a freak hail storm, and of course Cuppie was beamed! The hail came right as I was going to try to beat the storm and hide it in a parking garage. Cuppie, now has a broken windshield, a broken door handle and about 100+dents. Total cost to repair Cuppie? Well thats between 3000-4000 as of now, I still have to go to a body shop to see if she needs new fenders due to where the dents are.

So now as Cuppie drives around and looks cute, she is dented, till JULY 17! ahhhh thats so far away from now! So many people got a surprise hit, so to get in to a shop is a long wait. I am just glad I got my insurance claim in early! I called insurance 35 minutes after the storm hit, and still had a 5 day wait to see them! Not only did my car get hit, but my dad's new car and my mother's not new car, bright side for her, she needed a new car anyways! So now a new car search starts!

So what do I do about parts? Well, I have decided that I am going to go to Carbon Fiber, weight reduction and an awesome new look for Cuppie it is! Sad part is, Cuppie is now set back on powder coating her wheels and painting her calibers till I get the money again. These deductibles are no joke folks and I am very thankful that I was raised to always keep that money in savings!

So what will Cuppie miss due to this storm? Well she will miss not only the Cupcake Meet(which was last weekend) but, her owner missed the cupcake challenge! Which was a benefit! She will also miss showing herself off out on 39th and at Fun Run's due to her bumpy exterior. But wait, the silver lining in this cloud! Cuppie will come back better then ever! She will look better, hopefully sound better and of course she will have an awesome new look!

So what did Cuppie and I learn from this storm? To not wait for Cole to go with us! If we had left, Cuppie would be dent free and beautiful! So lesson learned and a great new start to Cuppies life, after the body shop!

Who is Cuppie?

Hello Everyone!

 My name is Nikki, I am a 22 year old college student, with a degree is Culinary Arts. I go to Oklahoma State University, and am working on my HRAD degree. I have a LOVE and PASSION for all things cupcake and cars. My blog will be about my journey's through school, work, baking and of course cars.

So your curious of who this Cuppie is? Well Cuppie is the name I have given my newest car, a 2006 Mazda Speed 6. She is a beautiful turbo charged sport sedan, with all the options and not to mention a Cupcake sticker.

So what makes Cuppie and I so special? Well, everything does, while it is rare for a girl to be in a car club and have a fast car, its even better when a girl is 1 of 5 owners of this car in Oklahoma. Everywhere Cuppie and I go, every one asks my boyfriend, Cole, when he got a new car. Which I am not going to lie, it is kinda funny when he says it's not mine, it's her's.

So more about this Cole fellow, he is my boyfriend of almost a year. We met at OSU-IT, where I got my culinary degree and he got his Pro-Tech degree. He works for Mercedes in Oklahoma and loves cars! He has a 1970 Ford Mustang, that never leaves the garage due to street legal issues. He is an awesome fellow and the love of my life, the only guy that understands me.

This is Cuppie the day I picked her up.
